Communications Specialist
Position Summary
We're looking for a Communications Specialist who's passionate about connecting people and making a big impact. Reporting to the Communications Manager, the right candidate will be someone who enjoys contributing to a supportive team, seeks to continually learn and develop, and wants to serve our internal customers with skill and integrity.

Responsibilities
- Develop written content for internal and external platforms such as email, press releases, websites, newsletters and intranet
- Support internal communication campaigns
- Assist with communication projects and data management
- Contribute to overall communication strategy
- Connect with employees for content sourcing
- Provide copy-editing for materials
- Maintain online listings and respond to reviews
- Organize communication projects/files
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related field
- 2+ years of communications experience
- Strong written and spoken English
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Quick learner of new technical skills
- Discreet handling of confidential information
- Service-oriented mindset
- Video editing skills a plus
- SharePoint knowledge a plus (especially in managing communication sites)
- Familiarity with marketing automation software a plus
- Knowledge of construction industry, change management principles, or written French a plus
- Strong advocate for the Oxford comma
