Helpdesk Technical Specialist – Information Technology

Location: Cambridge, ON 
Position Start Date: Immediate 
Hours of Work:  Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM (flexible)

Job Description and Primary Responsibilities:

We are looking for a technical Rockstar to join our team.  This individual will thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing, high-demand environment and will be working out of our location in Cambridge.  This role will be responsible for administering and supporting our clients’ technology infrastructure.


  • Primarily responsible for incoming user requests and first point of contact to address issues/requests
    • First and second level support for end-user issues
    • Work in a hands-on capacity with the team to address and resolve technical issues as they arise
    • Provide assistance to users via remote management tools, onsite visits or step by step instructions by phone.
    • Coordinate with the support team for escalations of unresolved issues
  • Daily maintenance routines such as backup review and testing, anti-virus/malware logs, security events
  • Proactive maintenance of customer’s computing environments

Desired education and experience

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, College Diploma, or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft server and desktop operating System
  • Office 365/Azure
  • Datto/Veeam
  • VMware/Hyper-Basic application use and support (Word, Excel, Internet tools, etc)
  • General understanding of networking technologies and design
  • Experience with ticketing systems, ticket queue management, and remote management tools
